Brethren, welcome to the second month in our “year of great and mighty blessings.” We thank God for how He has helped us thus far. The month of February 2018 has been divinely tagged as our “month of pleasing the Great God.”.

In order to enjoy great and mighty blessings we must of course, please the Giver of such blessings, who is our Great God. Just as it is with our earthly fathers, when they are pleased with us or we happen to be a favourite child, we tend to enjoy more attention, more treats and more presents than others in the same family. Furthermore, such favouritism is only reserved for the children of the house, and not for outsiders.

So it is also with God. When we please Him, according to the anchor scripture above, John 8:29, then He can never leave us or forsake us. He confirmed what our Lord Jesus said in the anchor scripture at His baptism by John the Baptist. As soon as He was baptised, the bible records thus

Matthew 3:16-17 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”.

In order to enjoy great and mighty blessings, I implore us in this season to live a life that is always pleasing to God. When we walk uprightly and in His ways, He would not deny us of any good thing that is due to us. (Psalm 84:11).Make yourself a candidate of great and mighty blessings by obeying God, living a life of holiness and trusting Him absolutely, and He will not fail you in the mighty Name of Jesus. Have a wonderful month ahead. Shalom!
